It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent inexpensive boozy brunch spot these days. There is always a catch. Either you're stopped being served drinks after you finish eating, there is an extra cost for AYCD, or the drinks are watered down (I see what you've done Pranna) Now a swanky new gastropub called Carroll Place has moved into the space formerly occupied by live music venue Kenny’s Castaways, which closed in 2012, and has brought us a booze filled brunch too good to believe.

The restaurant’s 6,700 square feet has plenty of history. Kenny’s Castaways once set the stage for such rock stars as Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith and The Fugees early in their careers.

As far as the look, the rustic tavern style 20-seat bar overlooks a custom built wood oven stove, where several of Carroll Place’s mainstay dishes and pizzas are prepared. Above the bar the walls are lined with bottles of Italian wines which are available by the glass.

Upstairs, which we were told is called the “Living Room” – features plush couches, oversized chairs and its own cocktail bar creating a comfortable place to enjoy craft cocktails.

As I mentioned earlier, their brunch deal is THE best we have ever had! $24 gets you unlimited signature Mimosas, Bellinis, Screwdrivers or Sangria and an entree for 2 hours. No catch!  You can  even mix and match your drinks throughout your time.

The entree selection is insane! From signature burgers, to omelettes and of course their popular pizzas. We tried a couple of their famous pizzas and both were amazing! The Emilia with Tomato Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Arugula & Shaved Parmigian was perfect as was the Buon Giorno pizza with Truffle Cream, Fresh Mozzarella, Speck, Mushrooms & Fried Eggs!

Mouth watering yet? Head on over to this new restaurant this weekend for great food, great drinks, and of course a great time!

The wait is finally over and Marcus Samuelsson's second restaurant in Harlem has finally opened in all of its glory.  Streetbird Rotisserie on the corner of 116th Street really came together since the start of the year and the more casual cousin to the Red Rooster started up lunch LINKHARLEM + BESPOKE

Take a look at the StreetBirdNYC menu and prices. Everything is reasonably priced at $11 bucks or less!  Making it a soon-to-be SBF favorite!

"Remember when Tuesdays used to really *mean* something? There were no leaks. You walked your happy ass down to the record store and copped the goodness. Sat with friends. Talked it over for days. Weeks. Months. There were new things to be discovered over time. By design. Music meant something and each project deserved and received our proper attention.

#GrooveCandy is for the people who remember Tuesdays as I remember them."

"Please be advised, Groove Candy is not a concert.  It is a party.
And we will be playing the fucking jams. " - Karlie Hustle

We are really beginning to love the Lower East Side and new hotspot 'Leave ROCHELLE Out Of It' is easily one of the reasons why. Named after the owner’s mutual ex-girlfriend (Which is pretty cool and funny in itself) ) Rochelle’s took over the old Cocktail Bodega space and now offers a selection of over 70 brands of American whiskey.

After checking out the great vibes and cool as hell bartenders, we had to put this happy hour on the rotation. Weekdays from 5pm-8pm, Rochelle’s offers us happy hour lover’s beer, wine and drink specials, along with their famous Miller High Life Split (Or as I like to call it ‘Future Bad Decisions') - A grenade size bottle of Miller with a shot of their whiskey of the week - for 5 bucks!

(Note: Please Do Not Have Sex In The Bathroom!)

A cool little jukebox playing 90's throwbacks only adds to the laid back atmosphere. Leave ROCHELLE Out Of It is a perfect after work spot. The location also makes it a perfect starting point if you wanna bounce around to a few bars for the night. Oh, and don't forget to try the wings!
