Good times @ Lincoln Center full of celebrity watching, fashion and free booze! We had the honor of attending the Czar by Cesar Galindo presentation. The Collection was filled with lots of Sea Colors - Blues, Greens, Sandy Peach along with a lot of pinks, and neutral colors. The texture and fabrics consist of silk chiffon and sequins. A nice collection for the everyday woman that loves to incorporate colors in their wardrobe. We did a lot of networking, interacting with models, designers and fellow bloggers so we were definitely in our element!

I love to brunch. There's nothing better than sleeping in after a long week and waking up to a great breakfast and a strong drink. When you live in and around this city brunch is a pastime. I also love it to be cheap, with some dope outside seating to enjoy the weather (and beautiful people), and a great atmosphere that encourages my love of day drinking. One place that captures all of these is Agave. So when a friend invited us to try Agave for the 1st time - for early-afternoon booze and breakfast - there was no chance it could be missed!

Agave is located in the West Village. I love this area. Wine bars, hidden clubs, dives, its the perfect area for a date-night or a meetup with friends

(It's also the location of "Sex Toy Row"

(but that's for another day)

The vibe once inside is fast paced. Don't let the white tablecloths fool you, this place is a day party waiting to happen. The atrium in the front is small but airy, with a few high tables on the side. Some in the group were already enjoying Agave's famous margaritas and were feeling pretty happy. An hour after our reservation, we were still waiting to be seated (after all- this is a boozy brunch in the city) but great company and a few shots made the time pass quickly.

The good vibes continued as we were seated in a semi-private room complete with our own music player. Before we knew it, multiple mimosa's and margaritas were being passed around. $25 gets you a breakfast and unlimited drinks for 2 hours. At no point did I have to yell out for another round since the waiter kept 'em coming. The margaritas were a little melted but had the perfect amount of tequila and tasted amazing. The food portions were a a good size, great for keeping the afternoon buzz at manageable levels. I attempted to be classy and tried the poached eggs, delicious.

Agave definitely deserves to be put on the rotation. A popular spot for people watching means a good shirt and those trendy shoes you've been waiting to wear is recommended. Get drunk and look classy doing it, that's Agave!

Ohhhh brunch. You know, that special time in between breakfast and lunch?

In NYC, Sunday brunch is slightly different. Not only is it very popular,
it's an event!  It’s a combination of lunch, cocktail hour and a party.
The drinks flow while friends indulge in delicious food
and rehash their weekends from start to finish.

The city has MANY brunch venues.
We chose to mention PS 450 for three reasons:
The mouthwatering menu,
Bottomless mimosa special,
and Great Music from an amazing DJ.

We recently enjoyed day drinking at this trendy spot. The restaurant sat us in the backroom, which looked more like a private VIP suite…

From the suggestion of our waitress, we liked their Facebook page and were greeted with free shots! That's how you get a brunch started! Just when we thought life couldn’t get any better, she brought out multiple bottles of champagne and orange juice.

Yes, PS 450 lets you make your own mimosas!

Make 'em as strong or as light as you prefer.
Everyone went back and forth between
mimosas and bellinis throughout the afternoon…

From the sounds of this brunch so far, I’m sure you’re thinking,
“Where’s the food?”
PS 450 served some of the best brunch items we've ever had.
The hard part was choosing from a variety of their brunch favorites
and “over the top” french toast.
I chose the  perfect hangover grub (literally called hangover fries).

"The Hangover Fries" with homemade fries, melted cheese, bacon, scallions with two over-easy eggs

We spent THREE hours eating and drinking away the afternoon. Towards the end, the music had our group up dancing and feeling good! If you’re looking for a good brunch spot in NYC, PS 450 is an absolute must. While the food left us smiling and the drinks left us laughing, the service was top-notch.
One of the best deals and atmosphere in the city!

Refinery29 Interview with my favorite NYC maven

Vashtie Kola — a DJ, creative brand consultant, video director, and "downtown's sweetheart" — lives for the night, spending her evenings hopping from highbrow gallery opening to sweaty basement dance party and making friends all along the way. Despite the fact that she almost exclusively works and plays in the dark, Vashtie (or Va$htie if you prefer) is one of the brightest rays of sunshine on the shadowy streets of the Lower East Side. An expert on everything worth doing between East Houston and Canal, Vashtie took some time out of her busy day night to tour us around her favorite local spots and show how she lives, eats, drinks, and dances between the hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

9 p.m., Dinner at Schiller's:
"This is my absolute favorite place to eat at with friends. It's chic (without trying hard), the crowd is loud and fun, the employees friendly, and the drinks delicious. They even have a frozen margarita machine! It also inspires me because it's always consistent and that's important, whether you're managing a restaurant or a brand."

Mood Music:
"My mood here is social and sassy, my style is feminine and fashionable, so for Schiller's I'd spin Hall & Oates' 'I Can't Go For That.'"

Late-Night Lesson #1:
"Never be caught navigating the streets with a map and walk quickly or kindly get out of the way."

Local Love
"I love the LES because, despite the gentrification, the businesses and venues are mostly independently owned. That spirit is so New York to me."

11 p.m., Drinks at Home Sweet Home:
"This is a great, no-frills type of bar where you can just let loose. I've had some of my most memorable nights in this grungy basement spot. The people are always laid-back, and the music is always something you can dance to. This place reminds me that you don't need to be perfect to be good."

Mood Music:
"At Home Sweet Home, I always have a fun, flirty time and dress sleek and comfortably. Naturally, I'd want to dance to something like Blur's 'Girls & Boys.'"

Late-Night Lesson #2:
"Make sure your outfit is suitable and comfortable for your entire day or night. In NYC, you never know what comes next, so pack some flats."

A Night Owl's Life:
"I remember at age 9, my mom busting in at 2 a.m. to find me re-arranging my room. I've just always been a night owl for some reason. I do my best work then. Luckily, New York never sleeps, so there are many ways to make a living from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m."

2 a.m., Dancing at Tammany Hall:
"I love this place for live shows or a party. It has three floors, and on any given night, each one has a different vibe. The crowd is always eclectic. I love parties where there isn't just one kind of person. Mixed crowds always make for a better time and keep me aware that there are always a million different ways to approach anything."

Mood Music:
"Here I'm casual, relaxed, and sporting a laid-back style — the perfect time for 'Mercy' by Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, and Two Chainz!"

Late-Night Lesson #3:
"Don't wait in lines! Just approach the door confidently, as if you belong inside, and you're in.

Central Harlem’s great new hotspot, Silvana

This time around on “Rhythm Roulette,“ Mass Appeal linked up with the one and only, El Producto. Known for his expansive career, starting from his involvement in the group Company Flow all the way to his recent Fool’s Gold release, Run The Jewels with Killer Mike, El-P has always been known to push the musical boundaries of hip hop through his production, which usually tiptoes on the border between psychedelic and hardcore.

The Staten Island native Mack Wilds (yes, from The Wire fame) is showing off his musical skills. He recently previewed his new LP New York: A Love Story in Soho. The project will release on September 17th with contributions from Salaam Remi, Havoc, Rico Love, Bink!, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Havoc, Method Man and Raekwon! With such an amazing line-up it shouldn't disappoint.
Yuna - Falling
I love everything about this woman as an artist. The latest from Yuna from her upcoming Nocturnal album.

Love this woman as artist. Falling, the love song  produced by Robin Hannibal,  is the first single from Yuna’s first full-length album, Nocturnal, coming in October
