We loved AfroPunk. Even if you didn't go for the music, it’s a great experience to be in a place where being yourself, free of judement, is honored and celebrated. Natural Hair sistas were in full effect, and you couldn't help but be impressed with the creativity put forth in displaying one's personal style.
We spent time with friends, laughed, smoked, drank, ate, and just relaxed – content in the temporary refuge that was AfroPunk.
Our personal Highlights of the weekend-long-event were performances by Zoe Kravitz and her band Lolawolf, OFWGKTA off-shoot The Internet, The gorgeous Lady of TDE SZA, and of course the final performance which was given by the always smooth D'angelo - accompanied by the greatest Hip Hop band ever - The Roots!
Yet another reason to love Brooklyn!

Headed to AfroPunk Fest in Brooklyn this weekend? If so, here are some last minute fashion ideas for men and women - if you still are trying to put together a funky punk look. Take some of these eclectic examples and incorporate your own style - which is what AfroPunk is all about!
Highlights from another amazing night for Social Butta Fly!!
Last month we had the honor of organizing a night out in the city for Toni and her lifestyle brand @respectthecurves_ In town from Deleware, we were given the task of making a memorable night for her and friends as well as promoting her brand.
For this event we coordinated a Bar Crawl, Scavenger Hunt style, complete with clues and tasks leading to each location. We directed the birthday girl up a flight of stairs for specialty drinks at 2nd floor on Clinton. The group enjoyed a round of shots at The Cake Shop. Next was a late happy hour at La Caverna. Concluding with dinner and dancing at Sons Of Essex (We took over the dance floor with our Soul Train line)
All of the ladies had an amazing night! The entire group ended up winding down with a little drunk food at Empanada Mama
The Lower East side at it's finest!
Don't forget to follow Toni on IG @resectthecurves_
