Event: Everyday People Brunch @ The DL

Although Manhattan has stolen the scene for many years, Brooklyn  is fast becoming the heart of New York. With a population of approximately 2.5 million and the new home of the Brooklyn Nets (Barclays Center), this New York borough is where all the action is. What makes Brooklyn unique is in its diversity and offering of every ethnic group New York has to offer.

Brooklyn is also home to a new ‘trend’ called the Everyday People Brunch.  A monthly brunch event that occurs the second or third Saturday of each month, powered by fashion, music, an eclectic mix of people and fine cuisine courtesy of Bravo TV’s chef Roble Ali. The Everyday People Brunch can be tagged an international fest of food, fun, music, fashion and socializing.

Celebrity chef Roble Ali of Roble & Co, Saada Ahmed, Cherie Camacho and DJ Moma started the trend in the Spring of 2012 and it has been a huge success since, with celebrity guests such as singer/songwriterSolange Knowles, rapper Bun B and other famous faces dropping in to join in the festivities.
