Hot Spot: STREETBIRD ROTISSERIE

The wait is finally over and Marcus Samuelsson's second restaurant in Harlem has finally opened in all of its glory.  Streetbird Rotisserie on the corner of 116th Street really came together since the start of the year and the more casual cousin to the Red Rooster started up lunch LINKHARLEM + BESPOKE

Take a look at the StreetBirdNYC menu and prices. Everything is reasonably priced at $11 bucks or less!  Making it a soon-to-be SBF favorite!

Social Scene: First Fridays @ The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture

The Schomburg Center hosts a social/networking event the first Friday evening of each month, rain or shine, from 6 pm to 10pm. (FREE)

In this "80's" edition of First Friday, The Schomburg Center will be turning back the clock and bringing you the big, bold and colorful era of the 1980s at their popular monthly social gathering. DJ Masai and DJ LA will be in the Langston Hughes Lobby, where they will be spinning their own unique sounds on the 1 and 2's, while extended viewing hours of the Center's exhibits will be available:

• Curators Choice: Black Life Matters

• Coming Home: Remembering

Sahara FM Radio’s Humble Prince Olu will host the event.

Dressing in 80's attire is encouraged - feel free to be as creative as you'd like!

All visitors are welcome to Hors d'oeuvres and beverages while enjoying/dancing to the music. It’s a great way to meet and greet members of the community while learning more about the arts, culture and history.
